MANILA, Philippines – Deliberations on the proposed 2013 budget for the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources on Monday ended early Monday afternoon at the House of Representatives, giving lawmakers ample time to go to Malacañang and meet with President Benigno Aquino III.
House majority leader Neptali Gonzales II confirmed to Radyo Inquirer 990AM that some 160 lawmakers will be meeting with the President to discuss the controversial Reproductive Health Bill.
He said that lawmakers from both the majority and minority blocs were invited to hear the President’s view on the proposed measure.
The decision to continue or terminate the period of debates for the RH bill (House Bill 4244) will be made Tuesday.
