MANILA, Philippines — Fire hit a residential area near San Isidro Church in Taft Avenue, Pasay City early Friday but was declared under control an hour later, Senior Fire Officer 2 Felix Lazarte, assistant operations chief of the Pasay Fire Station, said over 990AM.
Lazarte said no one was injured in the incident, the cause of which has yet to be determined.
Fire Officer 3 Luisito de Guzman told INQUIRER.net that the fire broke out at 7:37 a.m. and was put out at past 8 a.m. after reaching third alarm.
Meanwhile, operations at the Light Rail Transit Line 1 along Vito Cruz was disrupted due to the thick smoke coming from the fire.With reports from Tina Santos
