All set for Mandaue Mayor’s Cup shooting tilt

THE Cebu International Defensive Pistol Association Tactical Group, formerly the One Cebu IDPA Team, will compete in the Mandaue Mayor’s Cup Shooting Competition 2011 at the NS Outdoor Range in barangay Tawason, Mandaue.

The team is coming off a strong performance in the recent Lapu-Lapu City Mayor’s Cup held last month.

Composing the team for the Mandaue competition will be Don Dejarescon, Rico Mongaya, couples Reynan and Tessie Vidal, Nelson Esguerra, Frans Pacaldo, Keith Andaya and Renante Nioda.

The tournament serves as a tune-up for Dejaresco, Reynan Vidal and Esguerra, who are scheduled to compete in the CDP and SSP divisions of the IDPA World Shoot Tournament in Florida, USA this September.

FEATURED STORIES

The tournament will have five stages of International Practical Shooting Confederation class, three IDPA class stages and three rifle stages. The two-day competition will be handled by veteran marksmen Jerome Lim, Lowell Belarmino and Glen Java.

Aside from Cebu IDPA Tactical Group, other elite gun clubs from the region will also be joining. These are the Leyte Shooters Association, Ormoc Gun Club, Dumaguete Shooters Association, Cavs Masbate, Masbate Defense Gun Club, T-Alpha Albay, Special Weapons and Tactics Team of Mandaue City, SWAT Team Cebu and Lapu-Lapu.
