Bazaar, sale, forums in Mandaue Business Month

A BAZAAR, a two-day sale and the annual search for women entrepreneurs usher in this month’s celebration of  Mandaue Business Month which banners the theme “Staying Ahead of the Game.”

 
In a press conference marking the official launching of the celebration, MBM 2012 chairperson Girlie Garces said they  lined up a series of symposia and forums that would help entrepreneurs grow their business.

 
“We will start with an event on August 4 called Bida Light which is a festival of lights in Mandaue City to signify the start of the monthlong activities,” said Garces.  MBM 2012  is organized by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A One Cebu Business and Sustainability Summit to be held on Aug. 8 at the Cebu International Convention Center will be followed by an academic symposium on the Obra Negosyo Eskwela on Aug. 10 also at the CICC.

For  the first time major retailers in Mandaue City will hold The Great Mandaue Sale .  Outlets  in J Center Mall and Parkmall will offer as much as 70 percent off on selected items from Aug. 16 to 19.

 
“We are talking with other retailers to get their commitment also for this event,” said event chairman Brian Chua. This will be followed by the Park & Buy Bazaar on Aug. 17 to 19 at the Bridges Town Square.

an investors forum, business seminars the annual Search for Winners Season 2.
The Search for WINNERS Season 2 grand awarding night for the top three women entrepreneurs will be on August 28 at J Center Mall. Winners event chairperson Carmel de Pio Salvador said they will also give due recognition to barangays.

The Choose Mandaue: An Investors Forum scheduled on Aug. 29 at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel will discuss the new policies for investors in Mandaue City.

 
MCCI president Philip N. Tan said they want to encourage micro, small and medium entrepreneurs to develop their businesses in Mandaue City since they comprise the majority of the business community.
