/ 11:07 PM July 31, 2012

A seaman died on Monday afternoon, more than two hours after he was shot and stabbed by two robbers at the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Edsa Balintawak Station.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 George Caculba of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the police recovered the belongings of Romulo Legerin II, 40, as well as the gun he used to defend himself.

The robbers, however, escaped. Police Officer 1 Bryan Lorenzo, a policeman assigned to guard the LRT station, said he had just gotten off duty and was waiting for ride home when he heard a gun being fired at 2:30 p.m. the other day.
