A security guard who was enjoying a few drinks before going home was stabbed dead by five men who were irked by his attempts to catch the eye of their female friend.

Anthony Paje, an employee of JFBI Security Agency, was declared dead on arrival at Dr. Jose Delgado Memorial Hospital in Quezon City Tuesday morning.

Case investigator Senior Police Officer 1 Joselito Gagaza of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the attack happened around 2:30 a.m. near a convenience store at the corner of Tomas Morato Avenue and Scout Fuentebella in Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City.
