Goldberry gets back at Dynamic Power

GOLDBERRY Suites got back at its tormentors last year, the reigning champion Dynamic Power, as it used its bruising defense to win, 46-39, in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association last Sunday at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Dynamic Power dethroned Goldberry last year in three games but that was certainly not forgotten by the latter, which played without star center and many-time MVP Dave Lim.

Goldberry led for most of the way but was threatened in the fourth when its once formidable lead was sliced down to four.

However, Goldberry kept its composure and got a trey from Eugene Ting that sealed the win.

Jeremy Huang led the way for the winning team with 15 points while Theogene Lim paced Dynamic with 14.

In other games, Gaisano Capital thrashed Japfa, 64-58; Insular Square beat RDAK, 58-55; the A-Team defeated Fiesta Cebuana, 55-48; Twin Tower Blue upended Twin Tower Gold, 55-46. The Cebu Landmasters also crushed the SHS-AdC squad, 75-42. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
