6 local flights canceled; 12 diverted to Diosdado Macapagal International Airport

MANILA, Philippines – At least six domestic flights have been cancelled and 12 other flights were diverted to the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport due to bad weather caused by typhoon Gener, the Manila International Airport Authority said Monday.

In its emailed advisory, MIAA media affairs office said among the canceled flights were Cebu Pacific flights bound for Busuanga (5J 529) and Tuguegarao (5J 504) and their return flights to Manila.

The Cebu Pacific jet planes were scheduled to leave Manila at 9:25 a.m. and 11:25 a.m., respectively

Zest Air flights – Z2 260 and Z2 261- have also been canceled.

Those diverted to the former Clark international airport were incoming international flights of Cebu Pacific from Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei, Cambodia, Incheon, and Singapore.

MIAA reported that the arrivals of 11 domestic and international flights were delayed by one to three hours on Monday morning.
