Kentkyle, Green cagers beat separate rivals
KENTKYLE Cuisine crushed Alin Customs Brokerage, 87-77, while Green routed Blue, 82-70, Thursday night at the start of the regular games of the 3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-2012 Biggest Loser basketball tournament at the Basak San Nicolas gym in Cebu City.
Kentkyle trailed Alin in the first quarter, 17-18 but rallied in the 2nd canto to grab a, 38-32 lead at halftime before tearing the game apart in the third by unloading a, 29-15 bomb. Kentkyle headed to the final turn with a massive 20-point advantage, 67-47.
Kenneth Maningo led Kentkyle Cuisine with a game-high 27 points while Edwin Estorgio paced the Brokermen with 15 markers.
Earlier, Green led from start to finish in beating Blue. Boodie Monteño and Noel Medalle led Green with 17 and 16 points, respectively while Rizan Herbito and Chito Manahan paced Blue with 13 and 12 markers.
