Arroyo returns to VMMC after experiencing leg pain

MANILA, Philippines – Former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo went back to the Veterans’ Memorial Medical Center on Friday for physical therapy just two days after she was freed from detention in the same facility.

After her check-up at an alternative medical center in Tagaytay, Arroyo decided to stop by the VMMC after experiencing leg pain, her spokesperson Elena Bautista-Horn said.

Arroyo first stopped by the Libingan ng mga Bayani to visit the grave of her father before proceeding to the hospital.

Arroyo was supposed to visit her constituents in the second district of Pampanga after her check-up in Tagaytay. She was expected to resume her trip to Pampanga after her therapy.
