MAN FOUND DEAD

AN unidentified man was found dead in a creek in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

Police said the man believed to be in his 40s bore gunshot wounds in the chest and abdomen.

A resident in the area told police that gunshots rang out past midnight yesterday.

TRIKE DRIVER SHOT, HURT

A 48-YEAR-OLD trisikad driver was shot by two unidentified assailants in barangay Abugon, Sibonga town, southern Cebu.

Francisco Rama survived the attack. He sustained a minor wound in the right ear.

Revenge could be the motive in the attack, said SPO3 Zacarias Cabaluna of the Sibonga police.

Cabaluna was accused of being an accomplice in the killing of a man in barangay Candaguit last May.

Police said Rama was driving his trisikad headed for Candaguit when two motorcycle-riding men waylaid him past 2 p.m. last Wednesday.

LAPU BURGLARY

AT LEAST P300,000 worth of jewelry and valuables were stolen from a house in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Mary Miche Ko, a Cebuana married to a Korean national, said she discovered the burglary at 1 p.m. last Wednesday.

Ko told police that it was possible that the thieves struck while she took bath.

Police said there were no signs of forced entry in the woman’s room.

Police said Ko and his family moved into their house at S. Ridge Subdivision last week.
