5 men nabbed for drugs

FIVE persons were arrested in an illegal drugs buy-bust operation in barangay Looc, Mandaue City, Tuesday afternoon.

Joecar Peson, 35; Joerel Peson, 21; Januarios Manatad, 35;  Manuel Gestopa, 41; and Ian Gestopa, 35 were arrested past 4 p.m. last Tuesday in a shanty in sitio Superior.

Police said a poseur buyer bought a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 from Joecer.

Police then swooped down on the shanty where Manuel and Ian were allegedly caught sniffing shabu.

Police said they seized five small packs of suspected shabu from Joecar, while Peson yielded a pack containing a white crystalline substance.

Police said  the buy-bust money was recovered from Manatad. /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
