For his part, Parañaque Mayor Florencio Bernabe said he hoped that the job fair would reduce unemployment in the city.

“The Parañaque [City government] continuously exerts vigorous efforts to improve the livelihood prospects of its citizens. Apart from providing free training on priority skills needed in the different industries, it organizes residents and helps them establish community-based income-generating projects; and coordinates with companies and employers for the conduct of job fairs,” he said in a statement.
