Tudelahanons get medical assistance

Nearly a thousand residents of Tudela in Camotes Island benefited from the medical-dental mission held at the covered court in barangay Poblacion, Tudela last July 8.

The Tudelahanons, composed of senior citizens, availed of free medical consultation, vitamins and medicines, blood sugar and cholesterol analysis, blood typing, tooth extraction, x-ray, anti-rabies vaccine, feeding, reading glasses, milk and slippers.

Dubbed “Halad alang kang Lolo ug Lola,” the medical mission was through the efforts of the municipal officials of Tudela headed by Mayor Erwin Yu, in coordination with Cebu Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale, the Integrated Provincial Health Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office and the Department of Health.

Magpale said this is her first medical mission as a vice governor. She thanked the people of Tudela for their trust and confidence in supporting her projects and programs.

Cebu provincial consultant and lawyer Ma. Christina Garcia Codilla-Frasco, who represented her mother, Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, thanked the Tudelahanons for their support.

She told the beneficiaries about her mother’s desire to help and extend basic services to the people who needed it most.

Magpale and Frasco made the ceremonial planting of seeds for the “Food Always in the Home (FAITH)” program and fed the children in the day care centers.
Also present were Dr. Cristina Giango and Marivic Garces.
