THE TELETECH Titans cemented their hold of the number one spot in the southern division, while the Aegis Vipers regained solo lead in the northern bracket after the two teams scored separate wins last Sunday in the 2012 Sun Cellular E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Gym.
The Titans prevailed over SSI Pure Science, 76-69, for their eighth victory in nine games.
Sherwin Emmanuelle Resilla fired 23 points, Sherwin Anghay netted 18 markers, while Lourenz Limpangog scored 16 markers for the Titans, who are now a full game ahead of the second placers Sykes Pioneers.
The Pioneers are at second place in the southern division with a 7-2 (win-loss) record.
Lawrence Agas poured a game-high 35 points, while Rhett Romeo Tomakin finished with 18 markers for SSI, which stumbled to its third loss in eight games.
The Vipers, on the other hand, pulled off a 61-48 triumph over the Kyocera Frontiers behind the combined efforts of Steve Warren Navaja and Dean Junber Escalon.
Navaja scattered 15 points, while Escalon had 12 as Aegis broke free from a two-way tie at the top with defending champion Stream with its ninth victory in 10 battles.
Ariel Ramonito Edera was the lone player for Kyocera to score in double figures with 16 points. The Frontiers fell to 4-4.
In the other southern division battle, the Lexmark Stallions tallied win number four in eight games after they outclassed the Cebu Global Warriors, 94-36.
Roy Joseph Lanzaderas paced the Stallions with 24 points, while Ellery Ariate and Rodilou Joseph Talan added 14 and 10 markers, respectively.
