Citigym recently partnered with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Philippines Zugbuana in its advocacy to go green as this premiere 24-hour fitness center aims to continue promoting fitness activities in the green outdoors of Cebu.
“We want people to know that fitness can’t only be achieved within the confines of the gym, but also anywhere and anytime. Together with JCI Zugbuana, we are pushing the concept of nurturing nature for a better future in fitness,” said Citigym program and fitness director Anne Marie Manubag.
Having worked with the JCI Zugbuana in projects like the CitiRun and surgical mission, Citigym strongly supports the all-female group in its Project Green. This advocacy centers on the urban edible community project, road sharing and other community involvement programs of the group.
The JCI Zugbuana’s Project Green “core workout series” had its first run last July 7. This event is open to the public every Saturday of July, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Ayala Center Cebu’s Zen Garden.
The core workout series facilitated by Manubag, an American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer, allows everyone to enjoy outdoor exercise — a blend of basic yoga, pilates and body weight training.
Citigym also offers a core camp exercise to both gym members and walk-in clients on Mondays, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays, from 4:30 to 5:30 beginning Aug. 1. It is planning to bring its core workout series to IT Park next month.
