Raps filed vs cop, jail guard linked to Isko aide’s killing
A murder charge was filed yesterday against the policeman who reportedly killed a staffer of Manila Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso.
The charge was filed by the Manila Police District with the city prosecutor’s office against PO2 Geoffrey Borromeo, a member of the Regional Headquarters Support Group at the National Capital Region Police Office headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
Also charged was his brother, Jail Officer 3 Frederick Borromeo, who allegedly acted as the lookout.
The charges were based on a complaint filed against the two men by the victim’s older sister, Teresa de Guia.
Guia is the sister of Jonathan Ignacio, 37, an administrative aide of Domagoso who was shot dead as he was sleeping inside his house on July 7.
The victim’s live-in partner and son earlier positively identified the two men as Ignacio’s killers.
