Woman’s body found on Quezon City street
MANILA, Philppines—A woman’s body, her neck slashed and parts of her body lacerated, was found in Quezon City on Wednesday, police said.
Police Officer 1 Jorge Verbo of the Quezon City Police District Station 5 said the still unidentified victim, around 25 to 30 years old, was found along Mindanao Avenue Extension, Barangay (village) Pasong Putik, Quezon City, by village traffic enforcer Biolito Pinatagcan.
Verbo said the case was reported to their station around 7:50 a.m.
The woman was wearing jeans and a layered brown sleeveless shirt over a pink blouse, Verbo said.
“The victim was found with stab and laceration wounds in different parts of her body and a slash to her neck,” Verbo said, adding that police had yet to determine the motive behind her killing.
The case was under investigation, according to Verbo.—Jamie Marie Elona
