Convergys rebound, demolish Calltek 5

After stumbling to their first loss of the season, the three-time champions Convergys Wolves rebounded big time as they annihilated the Calltek Trojans, 92-41, last Saturday in the 2012 Sun Cellular E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

The 51-point massacre enabled Convergys to force a three-way tie at the number one spot in the northern division standings. The Wolves also recovered from a sorry 65-67 loss to defending champion Stream Ingenyouity last week.

Convergys, Stream and the Aegis Vipers all now have seven wins and one loss.

The Wolves ran their offense like a well-oiled machine resulting to five players scoring double figures led by the 19-point performance of Joshua Ryan Ram. Jose Felix Cleopas scored 12 points, Nathanael Johnn Caparoso had 11 points, while Tomas Mora Jr. and Ronald Mabanto Jr. added 10 points each.

Aerl Genebraldo scored 15 points to pace the Trojans, who slumped to 1-7 (win-loss).

The Eperformax Reds, meanwhile, kept pace with the northern division leaders after they nailed a 76-41 win over the JP Morgan Chase and Co. Bankers.

In the southern division battle, Franco Angelo Cipriano fired 22 points and hauled down 10 rebounds to power the Lexmark Stallions to a 75-58 win over the Supportsave Jaguars. EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
