MAN SHOT BY PAL IN DRINKING BOUT

A 41-YEAR-OLD fisherman was shot dead by a friend in San Francisco, Camotes Island, Cebu.

Joel Tampus died of a gunshot wound in the chest. His friend, Pablito Lucena, 59, surrendered to the police after the shooting.

Police said the two had a drinking session last Wednesday in barangay southern Poblacion.

MAN FOUND DEAD OFF ARGAO

THE body of a man was found floating about 400 meters from the shoreline of barangay Langtad, Argao town, southern Cebu.

Police said no one from the barangay was able to identify the man, who appeared 40 to 45 years old and about five feet and four inches tall.

HUMAN skeleton remains of a child wrapped in white cloth were unearthed in Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.

They were found by construction worker June dela Calzada , 26, who was digging at the site for a perimeter fence of South Plains Subdivision past 8 a.m. last Wednesday, said police. /SWU INTERN AGNES DOMASIG

MAN NABBED FOR UNPAID MOTEL BILL

A 32-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for trying to walk out of a motel without paying his bill in Talisay City, south Cebu.

George Alganados of barangay Uling, Naga City was turned over to the police over an unpaid P1,000 bill.

Police said Alganados and a woman checked in at Queensland motel around 5 a.m. last Wednesday.

The woman was first to leave the motel. Around 9 p.m., Alganados tried to leave as well but was stopped by security guards.

4 MEN ARRESTED FOR MARIJUANA

A MAN was arrested in a buy-bust operation for allegedly selling marijuana in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.

After the arrest of Samson Judilla, police arrested three more persons who tried to intervene.

Police said Judilla sold five grams of a dried marijuana leaves to a police asset past 2 a.m. yesterday.

The arresting team led by Senior Insp. Wilson Abot was about to leave the area when three men having a drinking a session confronted them, questioning Judilla’s arrest.

Police ended up arresting Jimmy Floretino, 29, Harris Perez, 31, and Roderick Augusto, 35, all residents in the area.

Police said three marijuana sticks were seized from Florentino, while Perez yielded two sticks.
