About 100  employees of the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (ARAB) are all on work-from-home detail due to incessant rain spawned by the southwest monsoon. INQUIRER FILES

MARIVELES, Bataan – About 100  employees of the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (ARAB) are all on work-from-home detail due to incessant rain spawned by the southwest monsoon. 

Faye Arceo, AFAB information officer, said only staff of port services and security personnel have been required to report physically at the Freeport because of the nature of their work.

Factory workers at the Freeport Area are also on regular duty, but that may change depending on the discretion of their respective managers, Arceo said. 

At press time, Barangays Balon Anito and San Carlos are still submerged in 2 to 3 feet of floodwaters, while the municipal disaster risk reduction and management council is monitoring flooded areas in this industrial town./coa
