2 INDIANS HURT IN ROAD MISHAP
TWO Indian nationals were wounded after the motorcycle that they rode on hit a private car at the Mandaue Reclamation Area at dawn yesterday.
Deepak Bhanot and Harphal Bhanot, both living in barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, were brought to the Mandaue City Hospital with bruises in different parts of their bodies.
A Kia Rio sedan driven by Andres Gelay, 55, of barangay Pasil Cebu City, which came from Ouano Avenue was about to turn left to E.O. Perez Street when it was hit by the motorcycle driven by Deepak.
The two Indian nationals were thrown off the motorcycle.
PO1 Martin Dejito, traffic investigator, said it was Deepak who was at fault since he failed to reduce speed to avoid the car.

3 ARRESTED IN ‘POT SESSION’
POLICE arrested two men and a mother who were allegedly caught sniffing shabu inside the toilet of a videoke bar in barangay Pulambato Wharf, Bogo City, northern Cebu.
Nikki Catarata, 20; Gary Verdida, 27; Ana Lequin, 29; denied any wrongdoing.
Police said members of the Bogo City Anti-Crime Task Force were patrolling past midnight when they were tipped off on three persons having a pot session inside the toilet of a videoke bar near the wharf.
The crime volunteers went to the videoke store and peeped through the hole of the toilet and allegedly saw three persons sniffing shabu.
Since the toilet was unlocked, the police officers barged in and arrested the three persons.
Police said a pack of suspected shabu was seized from Verdida’s possession while four pieces of tinfoil with residue of suspected shabu were found in the toilet.
Appropriate charges will be filed against the three persons, said police/REPORTER RHEA RUTH V. ROSELL
MAN SHOT, HURT IN CARRETA
A MAN previously jailed for theft was shot and wounded by an unidentified assailant in barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
Argie Bidosola, 18, a resident of sitio Villagonzalo Dos, barangay Tejero, Cebu City, sustained a gunshot wound in the left part of the face.
Police said the man was collecting scrap metals early morning yesterday when he was shot.
The assailant fled on a bicycle.
Bidosola ran home. He was later brought by his mother to the Vicente Sotto Medical Center./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
