Athletic directors gear up for Cesafi

WITH THE 12TH SEASON of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. looming steadily on the horizon, the athletic directors of the different participating schools are in the thick of preparations for the tournament’s start on July 29 at the Cebu Coliseum.

The athletic directors had their meeting late Thursday night at the Port Seafood Restaurant at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, where they managed to block off several important dates, not just for them, but also for all the coaches of the different sports that are being competed in in the league.

On July 11, the screening for the athletes of the much-anticipated basketball event will take place at the University of San Jose-Recoletos campus. On July 14, the general assembly of all the coaches of all the events will commence be held at USJ-R.

The league unveils its 12th season on July 29, where all the events open simultaneously. However, the highlight will be the kickoff of the basketball tournamen, where the juniors and seniors squads of USJ-R and the University of San Carlos do battle.

The screening of the athletes for the other events will take place on Aug. 7, reportedly at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation. On Aug. 15, the games of the other events officially take place.
