5th UABC hoop set this Sunday

ARCHITECTS FROM all over Cebu will once again showcase their basketball skills as the 5th season of the United Architects Basketball Club Corporate Cup Tournament gets underway this Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.

The league was officially launched in a press conference yesterday, which was presided over by club president Gerome Camello and was attended by the different board of directors, members and sponsors.

The tournament has six teams competing. These are Boysen Paint-Rajah Jumaben, Davies-Rajah Jumabon, Unitec-Cebu Sugbo, Multi-Line-USC/CIT, Megabond-CIT and the defending champions, Durabend-Datu Lapu-Lapu.

The tournament will adopt a triple round-robin format with the top two teams at the end of the elimination, gaining a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals against the third- and fourth-seeded squads. As explained by league commissioner Edelio Abellanosa, the finals will be a best-of-three affair.
