4 high school girls yield marijuana

/ 10:27 PM July 06, 2012

Four female high school students, with ages ranging from 14 to 16, were arrested near a commercial complex along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City at noon Friday for carrying sachets of prohibited drugs in the vicinity of Ayala-TechnoHub.

A Quezon City Police District-Station 6 report said the oldest girl, who also acted as the leader of the group, was carrying seven sachets of dried marijuana leaves when they were arrested, still wearing their school uniforms. An anti-drugs operative said a tip about a student who was selling marijuana resulted in the arrest. The girls will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Nancy C.
