Lapu mayor wants police to fight drugs

LAPU-LAPU City Mayor Paz Radaza ordered the local police to tighten their campaign against illegal drugs.

She blamed recent high profile crimes like the strafing of a house, killing Prima Aying, to the illegal drugs problem of the city.

“Naa gyud problema sa drugas sa Syudad, nga mao karon ang atong gipapahingusgan sa mga police,” Radaza said in a press conference.

(There is really a drugs problem in the city, which is why we are asking the police to tighten their drive against illegal drugs.)

She said police should conduct more buy-bust operations and anti illegal drugs checkpoints.
