Barangay official wanted for killing partner
Police are looking for a former barangay official who is the primary suspect in the killing of his live-in partner in Rodriguez town in Rizal province.
Superintendent Don Bait, Rodriguez police chief, told the Inquirer Monday that Temmy Ramos, a former tanod of Barangay San Jose, was being sought after several residents said that they saw him fleeing from the couple’s house in Suburban Village shortly before Emily Tapere’s body was discovered on Sunday morning. Witnesses said that when they saw him, Ramos’ clothes and hands were stained with blood.
They also said that they heard the couple arguing around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Police said they were checking if a bolo found at the crime scene bore Ramos’ fingerprints. Kristine Felisse Mangunay

Sunday midnight a fellow driver and wounded another. Senior Police Officer 2 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District homicide section said that the suspect identified only as “Edwin,” had gotten himself drunk before he went after Christopher Yahut and George Quejada with a hunting knife. Yahut was declared dead at Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center while Quejada sustained deep cuts on his arm. Edwin, on the other hand, escaped after he attacked the two men around midnight Monday at a passenger jeepney terminal at the corner of Aurora Boulevard and Cavite Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila.
