Duterte through the statement clarified that she has never used any of her children to advance her own interests.
“I condemn the unauthorized use of my minor son’s photograph to spread false information,” said Duterte.
(I have never used my children to advance my interests, and I strictly forbid them from participating in political matters outside our home.)
She then called on the public not to allow children to be used in misinformation, especially in politics
“Ang proteksyon ng kabataan—anak ko man o hindi—ay responsibilidad nating lahat,” she said.
