Cebu Korean golf opens today at Alta Vista course
FOR the first time, the Cebu Korean Association President Cup Golf Tournament, which starts today at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, will be open to other nationalities.
Organizer Joseph Shin said that in its previous editions, the tournament served as a gathering of Korean players in Cebu.
In their fourth edition this year, they decided to invite other nationalities to join to make the event grander. Koreans also want to foster good relationship with the other nationalities.
“We want to have harmony with them,” said Shin. “We Koreans are a friendly nationality.”
The tournament is individual play with a handicap system.
Divisions are male and female with the male further subdivided into A, B and C.
The dinner and awarding will be held at Teatro Casino at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino at 6 p.m. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
