Truck catches fire on Skyway

MANILA, Philippines – A truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas cylinders caught fire after it fell on its side along Skyway, a radio operator said on Monday.

Ruben Padilla of Skyway said the Isuzu Efl truck carrying still unidentified number of LPG tanks caught fire around 6:40 a.m. at the northbound lane of the expressway along Sucat, Parañaque.

“Umikot ito tapos tumagilid pakaliwa,” Padilla said, adding that it caused the tanks to explode.

The driver of the truck, Padilla said, managed to run after the  incident.
