Ex-Air Force man killed by dispatcher
A tricycle driver who was a former member of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) was stabbed dead by a dispatcher in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.
Rodrigo Ceniza, 49, a resident of sitio Seaweeds, barangay Pusok, suffered a stab wound in the right side of the body. He died a few minutes after he was brought to the Mactan Air Base Hospital.
Police identified the suspect as Jan Mark Tariao, 23, who fled after the attack.
Police said Ceniza and Tariao argued when the dispatcher demanded money from the victim because he helped the driver call for passengers.
Ceniza refused to give money. The two men figured in a fistfight before they were pacified by some tricycle drivers in the area.
Tariao left when they were eparated but returned minutes later and without warning stabbed Ceniza.
