THE Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC) is staging its annual poster-making contest titled “Apoy, Bagyo, Kalamidad: Dibuhong Pambata or ABKD 2011.”
The contest is open to children 7 to 12 years old.
Category A is for children aged 7 to 9 and category B for those aged 10 to 12.
In category A, entries should focus on disaster preparedness in case of flood, volcanic eruption, earthquake, fire, landslide and damage to environment brought about by mining and logging.
Artworks under category B will focus on drought, red tide or fish kill, infestation, outbreak of diseases or epidemic, armed conflict and climate change.
The entries should be drawn on a ¼ illustration board and must bear a title and a caption. It should be submitted together with the contestant’s name, age, address, contact number, school’s name and grade leveln.
Entries must be submitted to CDRC not later than Sept. 16.
