MANILA, Philippines – The expanded number coding scheme will be suspended in Metro Manila on October 31, in observance of All Saints’ Day Eve, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.

“The implementation of the expanded number coding scheme is suspended on Friday, October 31, a special non-working holiday, in observance of All Saints’ Day Eve,” the MMDA said in a social media post.

October 31 was listed among the additional special non-working holidays for 2025, declared by Malacañang in October 2024.

“The number coding scheme is automatically suspended on official and special non-working holidays,” the MMDA noted.

It also reminded the public to plan their trips and drive safely during the Undas break to avoid any road-related issues. /mcm
