The tricycle driver was identified only as a certain Onyot, who fled after the scuffle, which happened on G.Y. Dela Cerna Street last Wednesday night.

Braganza approached Onyot and asked him why he shouted “foul!”

The two men argued. It escalated when Onyot challenged the traffic enforcer to a fistfight and attacked him.

Police said Braganza was badly hurt because the tricycle driver was armed with brass knuckles locally known as chakurno.

The tricycle driver hurriedly left on board his tricycle when another traffic enforcer arrived.

After getting treatment at the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital, Braganza went to the police station to report the incident./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
