City Hall to give P3,000 to senior citizens Monday

OVER 40, 000 senior citizens in Cebu City will be receiving on Monday the first half of their P4, 000 annual assistance from the city government.

Mayor Michael Rama, however, is adding P1,000 making the cash windfall P3,000 for those 60 years old and above.

Dstribution will be done in the barangays to spare the elderly the inconvenience of going to City Hall to receive their cash aid, Rama said.

Rama said that he may add another P1, 000 during the second release of the senior citizen’s assistance in December if funds are available./Chief of Reporters Doris C. Bongcac
