MANILA, Philippines—In an interview on Radyo Inquirer early Wednesday morning Manila Vice Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said there are no ghost employees in the city hall and there was politics involved in the wiping out of the salary —“with the use of correction fluid”—of more than 1,000 casual and contractual employees.

Domagoso also said the non-regular employees have been affected severely of the payroll cut, which coincided with the opening of classes. He said he’ll continue to do his best to cooperate with the incumbent mayor and hopes politics won’t get in the way of “serving their constituents.”
