Lubosta triumphs in ALA-Summit boxing
HEROSHI Lubosta of the Philippine Australian Boxing Club beat Candijay, Bohol’s Joey Sajulga in the 63-kilogram division of the ALA-Summit Natural Drinking Water Fight Night Amateur Boxing Series last June 26 at the Gaisano Countrymall carpark.
Lubosta got the nod of the three judges to win the main bout of the evening.
In other another match, Mardy Muaña of Camotes Island, Cebu scored a 3-0 win over John Rey Melligen of Bacolod City in the 57kg division.
Maramag, Bukidnon’s Rolando Lingaw-lingaw defeated Wendel Acharon of the University of the Visayas (UV) in the 52kg division.
Deminiciano Mellanis of Lahug dominated the 52kg division by outlasting Alex Belonguil of Lapu-Lapu City.
Cherwellan Cantel of Maguikay Mandaue bowed to Christian Bacolod of Mabolo in their 50kg division clash.
Article continues after this advertisementJonathan Francisco of Consolacion, Cebu ruled the 50kg division by beating Elomer Baral of Camotes Island while Raul Yu snatched a Referee Stopped Contest win over Michael Lopez of UV in the 1:28 mark of the third round in the 48kg category.
