MANILA, Philippines – Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Generoso Servo assured Monday the public that the PNP will continue its mission to provide security in school zones for the rest of the academic year.
In an interview on Radyo Inquirer, Servo said the police received no adverse reports at the start of classes and that so far, operations have been “smooth.”
More than 17,000 policemen were deployed in more than 1,000 schools in Metro Manila during the opening of classes.
