All systems go for 100 Years Animo La Salle 12k Run

THE DE LA SALLE Andres Soriano Memorial College (DLS-ASMC) will host a running event on July 10 starting at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Mandaue City.

The race, dubbed “100 Years Animo La Salle 12k Run,” will raise funds for the ASMC alumni association’s scholarship program that helps less fortunate students in Toledo City, western Cebu. It is also part of the centennial celebration of De La Salle State University (DLSU) in Manila.

ASMC alumni association president Vic Reyes led the press launching yesterday together with De La Salle Alumni Association board member Jay Melasa and One La Salle Alumni Association member Bobby Martinez at the Robinson’s Place Cebu in Fuente Osmeña.

“Daghan kaayo ang ni apil aning running these days, so we decided to join the hype,” said Reyes, who was also joined by veteran race director Raffy Uytiepo and technical director Precing Capangpangan.

Aside from the main 12-kilometer race, the event will also have 5k and 3k categories.

Interested participants can register at the RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu, Casa Ilongga in Robinson’s Place and Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC). The distribution of singlets will be on July 7 at the Robinson’s Place Cebu at 2 p.m.  CORRESPONDENT DALE G.ROSAL
