Children get school supplies

Sixty-two children under the custody of the Children’s Haven received school supplies from the Bajenting family, owner of the Aviatour and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines Inc. (IIEEPI).

The children received school bags, notebooks, crayons, ballpens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and other school supplies.

The groups also distributed food to the kids during their visit to the center.

The Aviatour flight school in Lapu-Lapu City is a regular sponsor of Children’s Haven, a residential facility of the Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines Inc. (ASFFPI) for orphaned, neglected and other disadvantaged children in barangay Pilipog, Cordova town.

It also helps the foundation raise funds for the maintenance and operation of the center.

Meanwhile, the IIEEPI has adopted the Children’s Haven as beneficiary of their “Back to School” project.

The group will also sponsor the educational needs of one or two high school students next school year.

With the reduction of its budget, the ASFFPI has been looking for sponsorship of the children’s education and other needs.
