Corona leaves hospital

MANILA, Philippines—Former Chief Justice Renato Corona was discharged from The Medical City on Saturday, and left the building at 5:40 p.m., a hospital official said.

Anne Dela Cruz, chief of the corporate communications department of the hospital, told the Inquirer that Corona left through the discharge patio located at the lower ground floor of the building.

Reporters had been waiting for the former chief justice to issue a statement at the entrance of the hospital since early morning.

Only lawyer Jose Roy III faced the media past 2 p.m.
