Fair weather in Metro Manila and most parts of PH on Wednesday (April 9)

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and most parts of the country will experience fair weather on Wednesday or the Day of Valor due to easterlies.

This is the forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) at 5 a.m.

Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja explained that the easterlies are warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

“Sa natitirang bahagi ng Luzon, including Metro Manila, fair weather conditions nga or madalas magiging maaraw,” Estareja noted.

(For the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, expect fair or mostly sunny weather.)

“Asahan sa tanghali pa rin ang mainit at maalinsangan na panahon at sa dakong hapon, minsan kumukulimlim at nagkakaroon lamang ng mga isolated rainshowers,” he noted.

(Expect hot and humid weather at noon and in the afternoon, there will be overcast skies and isolated rainshowers.)

Meanwhile, the weather forecaster said chances of rains will occur in parts of Luzon and Visayas.

Areas in Bicol region, such as Sorsogon and Masbate, will experience scattered rains while isolated thunderstorms may be expected in Northern Luzon in the afternoon and early evening.

A huge portion of Palawan, especially central and southern parts, will likely have rain before noon.

However, it will not last in the afternoon or evening.

Isolated rainshowers will prevail in Northern Panay, Northern Samar and Samar while the rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather.

“Madalas magiging maaraw sa umaga hanggang sa early afternoon. Sasabayan din yan ng mainit na panahon pagsapit ng tanghali at sa dakong hapon at gabi,” Estareja said.

(It will be sunny in the morning until early afternoon. It will be accompanied by hot weather at noon and sometime in the afternoon and evening.)

“May mga ilang lugar lang po ang magkakaroon ng isolated na pag-ulan, at may ilan na may mababang tyansa ng pag-ulan,” he added.

(Some areas will see isolated rains, while some areas will have a low chance of rains.)
