Commitee formed for Pedro’s canonization

ANSWERING the missionary call to help disseminate and celebrate the canonization of the second Filipino saint, Beato Pedro Calungsod, the private sector came up with a special events committee.

The committee is composed of chairperson Marlinda “Mayen”Angbetic-Tan and vice chairperson Carmel de Pio-Salvador, Marissa Fernan as consultant and Gino Salvador and Robby Alugar as members.

The committee formulated a process where donors can contribute and help in the fund-raising effort for the canonization of Beato Pedro Calungsod. Donations of P25,000 or more are being solicited from kindhearted individuals.

Donors will receive a certificate of donation and a limited-edition commemorative piece designed by internationally acclaimed Cebuano Kenneth Cobonpue and have the chance to win two BMW cars (a 3 series and a 1 series) and a KIA Sorento. Only 1,200 certificates of donation will be issued.
