A steering committee led by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will oversee the plans for the commemoration of the 127th Independence Day celebrations.
In 2023, the president issued Administrative Order No. 8, which created an interagency committee chaired by the NHCP to be the lead agency in planning and executing programs and projects for the Independence Day celebrations from 2023 to 2026.
