Navy: Drone found off Cagayan contains data on body of water
The Philippine Navy has completed the forensic analysis of one of the drones recovered off Calayan Island in Cagayan, saying it contained bathymetric data or the depth, temperature, salinity and other features of a body of water.
The drone was one of five recovered by the Navy last year in various parts of the country, and one of two drones found on the same island off Cagayan province.
PCG spots 3 more Chinese ships near Bajo de Masinloc
Three more Chinese vessels, including the so-called “monster ship,” were detected in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc as the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) continues its monitoring efforts off Zambales.
Among the three Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) vessels were CCG 5901, approximately 99.37 nautical miles (nm) from Zambales; CCG 3502 at 131.70 nm; and CCG 3103 at 133.97 nm, based on a report issued by PCG spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea Commodore Jay Tarriela, late Tuesday night.

2 dead after fire hits condo in Manila on Chinese New Year – BFP
Two persons died when fire struck a condominium unit in Binondo, Manila, early Wednesday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The BFP spot report said the fire was first reported at 3:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
