MANILA, Philippines – “In my eyes, he is guilty,” Senator Jose “Jinggoy” Ejercito Estrada said Tuesday.

Estrada, in his speech during the final day of the impeachment trial in the Senate, said he weighed the evidence provided by both parties, noting that although the defense has proven that Corona only had $2.4 million in undeclared dollar accounts, five instead of 45 properties, and four dollar accounts instead of 82, these numbers were “irrelevant because the most important question was whether they were declared properly”?

He added that he did not believe Corona’s defense that he did not declare his dollar accounts in his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth because it was covered by the foreign accounts secrecy law.
