Magnitude 3.7 tremor hits Quezon town
LUCENA CITY — A magnitude 3.7 earthquake was recorded in the coastal town of San Narciso in Quezon province before midnight on Monday, Jan. 20.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tectonic tremor hit 20-km northeast of the municipality with a depth of 2 kilometers at 11:52 p.m.

The temblor was initially recorded as magnitude 4 but was later downgraded to magnitude 3.7.

The Phivolcs said they were not expecting damage or aftershocks from the earthquake.
San Narciso is located in the Bondoc Peninsula district, facing the Ragay Gulf.
