Boy with exposed bladder asks help

JOHN Carlo Masayon has bladder exstrophy, a rare congenital birth defect in which part of the urinary bladder is present outside the body.

The disease occurs due to the failure of the abdominal wall to close during fetal development.

John Carlo, a 5-year-old boy from Lahug, Cebu City, loves to play and go to school. However, his physical condition has been his limitation.

John Carlo needs to undergo surgeries to close his bladder and abdominal wall and to attach the pelvic bones to each other and for him to develop a normal urinary control.

John Carlo is asking kindhearted individuals for donations.

His parents don’t have fund for his surgeries as the family relies solely on the father’s earnings from selling bracelets in schools.
