DTCC bags 21 golds in PNG tilt

THE FAMED Dancesport-Team Cebu City once again did their thing to the fullest as they garnered a whopping 21 gold medals on top of 15 silvers and 14 bronzes during the dancesport event of the POC-PSC Philippine National Games held at the Macias Coliseum last Sunday in Dumaguete City.

Leading the gold rush was the pair of Gylle Nino Deluvio and Andreah Kiem Capampangan, who took home an incredible six gold medals. They won gold in the Standard Juvenile E Waltz and Tango events along with the Latin Juvenile E, Standard Juvenile D, Standard Juvenile C and Latin Juvenile C classes.

Not to be outdone, the tandem of Jimmy Noel and Elizabeth Zetz also took center stage and brought home six more gold medals of Team Cebu City. The duo emerged victorious in the Latin Senior A, B, C and D events in addition to their wins in the Standard Senior B and D classes. Filemon Baguio and Jhistine Baguio bagged two gold medals courtesy of their wins in the C classes of Standard and Latin dances.

The rest of the gold medal winners were Klein and Kathleen Deluvio (Standard Junior A), Bert Deluvio and Jam Flores (Standard Youth C), Kelly Deluvio and Julie Entoma (Standard Youth A), Kavin Unabia and Jocelyn Versteeg (Standard Senior C), John Mocorro and Therese Quilaton (Latin Junior A), and Lark Jabonero and Mary Ferrer (Latin Novice and Pre-Am). /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
