Garcia-Clavecilla tops The View tilt

THE tandem of Ramontito Garcia and Iggy Clavecilla combined for 293 points to clinch the lowest gross honors of the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club’s The View Invitational 2012 which ended last Sunday.

The two posted 144 points in the first round and added 149 in the second.

The lowest net honors went to the duo of Ed Acain and Nilo Seno after they got a total of 273 via a countback over the pairs of Alex Garcia and Leslie Nathan and Wendell Yap and Nestor Cabrera.

The division A title went to Jufil Sato and Ferdinand Mondares who had a total of 150 points while just a point behind were Toby Florendo and Glen Yap. Third placers were Vic Gocela and Gus Mata who had a total of 148.

Yap and Cabrera won the division B title also via countback this time over Garcia and Nathan who settled for second place while Jojo Alquizola and Noel Ybanez (149) finished third.

A countback also handed the division C title to Tito Pintor and Sim Guinocor. They prevailed over the tandem of Cesar and Edwin Salimbangon while finishing third were Ed Manzano and Lino Mabatid (141).

The seniors division was ruled by Vicente Go and Oscar Cornillo with 158 points. First and 2nd runners-up were Razi Razon and Boy Alegre (155) and Rey Sanchez and Mario Bancale (153), respectively. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
